• 2025-2026 National Scholarship Application

  • Thank you for your interest in the National Scholarship Program of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. 
     
    The 100 Black Men of America, Inc.'s National Scholarship award is ONLY open to 100 Black Men chapter mentees and Collegiate 100 students who are preparing to pursue or who are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree on a full-time basis at a U.S. accredited college or university. Mentees/Collegiate 100 students may major in any discipline. 
     
    Mentees/Collegiate 100 students who are attending or planning to attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) in the United States during the 2025-2026 academic school year are strongly recommended to apply.
     
    Read all information below prior to completing the application. Also, request from your 100 Black Men mentor a copy of the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document. 
     
    All Supplemental Materials must be submitted as attachments in a single email to: scholarship@100bmoa.org.

  • ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
     
    Applicants must: 
     
    1. Be a 100 Black Men chapter mentee or Collegiate 100 student as verified by the local chapter.
     
    2. Be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident.
     
    3. Plan to enroll in the Fall semester of the 2025-2026 academic year as a full-time undergraduate student.
     
    4. Maintain full-time status during entire 2025-2026 academic year.
     
    5. Have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
     
    6. Selected applicants will be qualified mentees or Collegiate 100 students with a proven financial need. 
     
    7. Enrollment at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) is not required, but strongly recommended.

  • REQUIRED Supplemental Materials

    The following supplemental materials are requirements for the Application Packet and must be received in a single email at scholarship@100bmoa.org. Materials sent via US Mail, Fax, etc. will not be accepted.

    1. Free Student Aid Report (SAR)

    2. Recent Head-Shot Photograph

    3. Official Academic Transcript

    4. Essay (500 Words Max): Please explain why you want to attend college and the advantages a college education will provide for you? Respond in three categories: Socially, Economically, and Community.

    5. Confirmation of Community Service Letter (50 Hours Required): Completed by the Supervisor of the project on company's letterhead.

    6. Leadership Involvement: List and describe your leadership involvement over the last 4 years.

  • APPLICATION GUIDELINES AND SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
     
    1. Scholarship Application must be completed and submitted via the Jotform Link. 
     
    2. All corresponding materials must be submitted as attachments in a single email to scholarship@100bmoa.org.
     
    3. Incomplete applications or those sent via U.S. Mail or fax will be deemed ineligible. There will be no exceptions. 
     
    4. Current scholarship recipients must re-apply each year. 
     
    5. The Application and Supplemental Materials must be received no later than 11:59PM/ET on February 28, 2025. 
     
    6. Notification letters (congrats and regrets) will be sent to all applicants via email.

  • What is your current major or potential field of study?
  • What is your current grade point average (GPA) range on a 4.0 scale? Remember to send an official transcript with the Supplemental Materials.
  • What is your high school or post-secondary classification for the 2025-2026 academic year?
  • Do you plan to enroll/re-enroll in a post-secondary institution as a full-time student during the 2025-2026 academic year?
  • Are you currently enrolled or plan to enroll in an Historically Black College or University (HBCU)?
  • Did or will your 100 Black Men mentor assist you in reviewing and/or completing this scholarship application?
  • We will contact the person you have listed as your 100 Black Men mentor. Will he CONFIRM that you are indeed being mentored by him?
  • The Free Student Aid Report (SAR) is used to determine your needs-based eligibility for a scholarship. This report is sent by the U.S. Department of Education after receiving your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Do you have your Student Aid Report (SAR)?
  • Are you a previous 100 Black Men of America, Inc. National Scholarship recipient?
